At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain & discuss the changes to the National Cervical Screening Program; including change to the primary screening test, sample collection, age range and screening interval.
  • Transition women from the current Pap smear based screening program to the new national cervical cancer screening program.
  • Effectively explain HPV and liquid based cytology test results to patients
  • Manage asymptomatic and symptomatic women, following a reported result, according to the clinical pathways in the 2016 guidelines.
